It is called Ain Dubai and is expected to reach a height of 250 meters. Those in charge of the project have just put the very first passenger cabin on it, bringing closer the day when tourists and residents will be able to sit on it to overlook the city.
The project was initially supposed to be completed for the Dubai World Expo in 2020, but the latter has been postponed to 2021 because of a coronavirus that humanity is still struggling to shake off. So there is no urgency for the engineers, architects and workers in charge of the project. However, there is no question of dawdling. The Ferris wheel of Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, is progressing well since it has just received its very first passenger cabin. The first of a total of 47.
A breathtaking view
Once complete, Ain Dubai (the name of the attraction) will culminate at no less than 250 meters high on Bluewaters Island off Jumeirah Beach Residence. A unique viewpoint to enjoy the Dubai landscape, between urban skyline and popular seaside resort. Unparalleled, simply because this wheel will be… the highest in the world, surpassing by some 80 meters the Ferris wheel of Las Vegas, until then the record holder!
