Architecture is first of all the ordinary food of our senses and the fabric of our environment. It is an inescapable food, that we cannot avoid. It is the framework of our lives and our travels.
The A2-SB architecture studio is an obvious meeting between JY Arrivetz and SĂ©bastien Belle, architect and interior designer. This collaboration was built around all subjects with an equal curiosity, but it is above all in the field of the private house that the two associates develop and deploy their know-how, in France and abroad.
The architects claim the eclecticism of their creative approach, from the insertion in the site to the quality of the materials used, to the elegance and quality of the finishes and construction details. The architecture is inscribed in games of paths, according to sequences and perspectives. We take care of the light and the composition, we shape the space in place, we work “the passages” as scenes, we sculpt the materials by giving it sense, we remove the limits…
Simplicity of volumes and forms, permanent dialogue with the elements: water, sky, wind. The architects discuss a lot the idea of transition. Between the “inside” and the “outside”, the natural environment and the built environment, the individual and the world. The architectures are open to the wind, to light and shadow. This research is intended to arouse spirituality, in an intuitive harmony.

These questions of links cover the whole creative process, they are a common thread. It is not the volumes that architect, but their links with the place and with each other.
In search of the obvious:
It is also a process of enthusiasm and permanent exchange with the future occupants. There is a real collaboration so that the creative act does not become unreasonable and selfish. The evolution of computer tools and the realistic precision of computer-generated images allow the omnipresence of dialogue.
The projects of individual houses constitute a field of research and experimentation through which men and women of art have elaborated and are still elaborating the basis of architectural theories developed on a larger scale. It is an opportunity to look at the fundamental elements of architecture – space and material – in a more intimate and artisanal approach.
Each house is unique, special, and if coherence, meaning and evidence are found, the framework created is in harmony with a new life project.
